Instead of relying solely on action or gore, this novel delivers a deeply reflective meditation on humanity, morality, and the fragility of civilization once the thin veneer of order is stripped away. The story follows an unnamed man, a solitary survivor navigating a world left in ruins after a mysterious virus. Yet the virus is not the true destroyer; panic, fear, and human brutality bring society to its knees. Across eight chapters, we witness his encounters with death, despair, fleeting connections, betrayal, and eventually, a faint glimmer of hope.
